Inside the cockpit of the star attraction at the Solway Aviation Museum at Carlisle Airport. Synonymous with the Cold War and Britain’s nuclear deterrent of the 1960’s, the impressive size of Avro’s delta winged bomber is testament to the ingenuity and skills of the post war British aircraft industry. She was flown in to Carlisle for preservation in January 1983 (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DG HSM, Speedlite 430EX)

What a 'cosy' cockpit! Compared to today's 'glass' cockpits, this looks more like a WWII submarine, or one of Jules Verne's inventions. Great picture, and happy that this cold war icon is preserved! -Zoydian.
