The Reds moved to Kemble in their first year (1965) and were still there 14 years later when they replaced their Gnats with Hawks under the leadership of Sq Ldr (later Group Captain) Brian Hoskins. Mr Hoskins later worked for Babcock and was appointed Transition Manager when that company won the contract to provide support services at RAF Valley in 2004, taking responsibility for maintenance of the entire Hawk fleet some 20 years after he left the team.
