Built as a C-47B in Oklahoma City, USA and entered Royal Air Force service as a Dakota IV (KN353) at RAF Montreal. Later served in both Australia and Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Purchased by Transair in 1953 and registered as G-AMYJ (she actually carried the RAF serial XF747 while performing troop-carrying duties at that time). Flown in Egypt with Nile Delta Services as SU-AZF, then to Air Atlantique for pollution-control. Finally donated by them to the Yorkshire Air Museum. Painted as KG427.
