Probably the best accident for a awesome picture! Talk about being at the right place at the right time. Glad they get her down safe.

Rare shot! Awesome to see an aircraft fly that isn't even supposed to fly! And the shot has good lighting as well

Lovely shot, such a strange looking relic indeed. Who is the guy laying in the grass at the farside of the runway?? Another covert A.Net operation??

Fantastic shot which has framed the aircraft well and no doubt needed quick reactions as this was not supposed to happen! The guy in the background must have been thinking something along the lines of "What the F***?"

Magnificent photo of possibly the ugliest aircraft ever built.

How awesome it is to see this plane in the air, despite the circumstances. I'm more than a little jealous of that fellow in the grass.

Dramatic! Never thought one would ever see a Victor airborne again.

Fantastic timing. This aircraft was not meant to take off. A gust of wind caught it on a fast taxi run and lifted it into the air. The photo makes it look like a standard take-off. These aircraft don't fly any more!

God was smiled looking this "taxi run", I think... Was the crew ready for non-expected takeoff as well as photographer? Snipe-photo-shot, congratulations!

Contestant for the Story of 2009 !! And I had almost decided to come to the show, and changed my mind nearer the time ! I would have seen this once in a lifetime incident ! Amazing ! Glad the aircraft was not damaged ! Alan.

That's a bit high for a gust of wind, no? Maybe they gave a little push :)

Just proves that classic jets like this should fly and not end up like london taxi's - stuck in traffic

Jealous, jealous, jealous! I never thought that a Victor would fly again... as did the pilot!

High speed taxi goes wrong!

Intentional or not, the 'last flight' of a Victor captured with clarity and a regard for composition despite the excitement of knowing that this was not supposed to be happening!

It's nice to see the old bird fly again! Even if it was unintentional...

Hopefully the "gust" was strong and long enough to let her fly and not fall on a painful stall. Perfect timing My congrats for that. Frank

What a machine - pity it was a one off mistake? she should fly alongside the Vulcan

Not the first time something like this happened... I recall a giant British flying boat (in the 50's?) with a civil reg. supposedly going for some high speed water runs only, but lifted off, too... Pilot's comment: 'She wanted to, so I let her...'
