Turbo-prop aircraft don’t seem to operate at a height conducive to contrails and I’ve only seen this sight twice – this RAF Hercules has climbed out of Brize Norton heading north-westwards and reached cruising altitude over Herefordshire on a day of low pressure, pulling a spectacular trail. Interestingly the prop-wash seems to distort the trail and skew it to the left immediately behind the aircraft.
