The two-seat Provost was the Royal Air Force's standard trainer from its introduction in 1953 until replacement by the Jet Provost in 1961. A few Provosts lingered on in service until 1969. This example, built in October 1954, is now preserved at the super Gatwick Aviation Museum. Observed from the wing of a Shackleton.
