N744P (cn 1287) I did not think I would get this photo op so soon ! Three of the US Heritage Scheme's in one photo but just barely as N744P is just parking on Gate 17 as N745VJ is ready to taxi (note the rotating beacon). Also pictured are N742PS, N765US, and NW N361NB, all A-319's not long after a major thunderstorm passed over LGA. In the background two Party Boats have just docked at the Worlds Fair Marina bringing fans to Shea Stadium for the "Subway Series" between the New York Mets and New York Yankee's !

With the red tail now disappearing this is a great shot! I love what US Airways has done with the heritage schemes, like the Union Pacific Railroad has done. Give us some fun, variety and history!

Great picture getting the 3 heritage and one black plane, chances of ever getting that oppertunity again would probley be impossible, well done, SMD.

If you look closely, you can also see a CRJ in the background, just behind the Northwest plane

A visitor from Switzerland posted Tue July 18, 2006:
If only there wasn't the NW plane in the background... ;)

A visitor from United States posted Fri July 7, 2006:
Very rare shot, even rarer to see them in just a focus city like LGA is.

Oddly enough, the best looking plane there? The navy one...

How lucky can you get?

Could this be called "future retro"? ;)

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 3, 2006:
Now, If only you had a US Air in the new c/s, The HP heritage plane and a plane in the HP livery, you would have completed the set of all of US's different c/s's.

A visitor from United States posted Fri June 2, 2006:
...or a blast to the past. It's been a long tome since I've seen PSA & Piedmont colours.

I love seeing heritage scheme's on modern planes... Creates a sense of unity as old meets new. Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Air Canada and now US Airways, it does me good to see the liveries of the old airlines resurrected... :)

Could you not say that's 4 Heritage Scheme's? now that the US Airways scheme as we know it (Second from the top in the photo) has changed with the merger of America West.
