It does look kinda boring. and the "US AIRWAYS" tiltles are hard to see from afar. so if u dont know this logo, u dont know what airplane this is! Why didn't the make a herritage "US AIR" color? The red stripe and bare metal with blue, Love that one.
Well, the fact of the matter is however plain the new paint is, the dark blue paint will heat the plane up too much in PHX and the western routes(as stated above). Cant wait for the Piedmont A320!!! Now that will look great!! Great photo, kudos to the photographer.
This color is softer. more appealing.
US Airways and America West look great together! Great Photo! I wish it had a bit more of America West but otherwise it looks better than the old dark livery.
Excellent daybreak colors. Love the reflections of the sunrise in the engines.
Love the new paint job. Makes the airline look like its going places, lets just hope there are no more delays..but don't hold your breath!
Great new scheme! | |
Neat to see new colors | |
What were the marketing folks drinking the day they thought this one up?Striking resemblence to USA 3000. Sorry, but I think some of us were expecting something more stylish. Anyone remember presidential airways circa 1986????
Many comments on this one so I didn't read but a few. I agree, the former paint scheme of navy was sharp. I think this one is just as pretty. More importantly though. I think they realized that a dark paint scheme in PHX would not work very well. With the summer heat at 40'C, you need as light a scheme as possible.
The colors compliment the new airline and respects the heritage of the past combined carriers.
Nice new livery | |
Not bad but the former livery was much better. I like the non-white liveries so much better.
Very nice Colours an the Light was Excellent!
I like that it captures just about every aspect of the new livery without leaving one to guess.
It's wayyy more stylish than the old black livery. Love it!
In my opinion this c/s would be nicer without painted belly
Awesome pic!!!!!Love the new colors!
Nice colourscheme! But the old one was more inventive and eyecatching, this is another white´n´blue livery, like much other airlines use
The new livery is really great. It looks so fresh.
Awesome photo, awesome lighting. I think the paint scheme is OK, but I really wish it had more America West style in it. I really really hate to see that company go away.
Very nice, but what is it doing at gate a17? i thought it would be out of B or C. o well, nice though
This livery looks alot more lively than the old livery. I wonder what it'll look like on the A330's.
Great color scheme! | |
Thumbs up to the photographer and thumbs down to the new livery. The old one looks better to me. This one isn't that bad but it could be better.
Nice to see that the dark US colors are going away, our planes are hard enough to keep cool in PHX / LAS summer sun the way it is. I don't care what it looks like as long as my pay check clears the bank!
The photo is great, but the livery is not... I liked the old dark blue livery better.
Good aspect for the back site
Will take a while to get used to! Looks to much like leisure Air and the old blue belly Presidential Airways 737 classics (N197aw, N198AW, N199AW) that America West operated for a time. Should have used the America West scheme and adopted the US Air colors!! The Airbus A320 PSA retro paint scheme will look awesome!! Can't wait for that one!!!
Fantastic New Livery from US Airways. Can't wait to see it on the A330 into MAN. Did the MAN - PHL route in 2002. Go US!!
A very nice plane, with a very nice scheme too!!! It is really a wonderfull alliance.
Nice picture | |
Nice photo!! | |
Well... to be honest: I don't like this livery. I think the old one was better. But it's a very good shot!
Nice sun colors | |
Very good photo but rear underbelly form blends into other aircraft in background. Livery is generally disappointing. Is that an opposing-direction USA flag in front of the N No?
Nice pix in despite of such a hybrid c/s. Seems to have a paint job done in a hurry and not yet made up their minds on definitive c/s.
It is first US airways with the new livery so it would be great, because it is unique
Very Stylish! I like it.
The shot is great and the livery is okay I'd say. Nothing special! Could be related with Aeroflot and Mecicana ;)...
Pleasent to look at. | |
Nice picture - boooooooring livery. Those black planes were pretty distinctive. This? Could be anything.
Lovely Photo and the new livery suits 320 proportions nicely - interesting to see what it will look like on the heavies
I love it !!! | |
Nice beauty | |
Excellent photo! However if I were to rate the livery, I'd give it fair. I guess it will just take some time to adjust to it. :/
Nice pic. I really like the sunset color on the plane. USAirways did a nice job with these new colors. I also hear USAir will fly plane with the liveries of the airlines they merged with, such as PSA and Piedmont.
The new livery is simple but nice. I would like to see it soon at Costa Rica.
The new livery is awesome!
Should gone with a new look. Neither airline had very good brand recognition outside their respective markets.
The new livery is much nicer then the old dark one
Almost perfect lighting
Hahah nice livery | |
It's a simple,uncluttered and classic look.
Much awaited | |
Love it!!! | |
Nice angle, captures the new livery nicely.
Looks almost like it should be for the President of the USA.
Great photo. :) | |
Nice choices of colors. Red stripe needs to go though or re-done
Way Awesome!! Those are perfect colors IMO for US AIR.
Very nice livery. I like the gray waves in the rear. Good work!
I love the new Livery!! | |
Beautiful livery! | |
The A320 is getting some great sunlight and the new livery looks good.
Great Photo, I don't like the livery, I was a real fan of the black and grey, I can't see this livery working on the A330, the black and grey looked awesome on the A330, it will be greatly missed when it has disappeared
This is a Great photo | |
The photo is excellent but the colours that I would have hoped to see would have been more turquoise from the AW livery.
Excellent picture. Unfortunately I was hoping that there would be the turquoise colours from AW incorporated into the new livery.
The sunlight on the airplane gives the photo some atmosphere...
I like how you can really see the detail of the new livery with this photo. Great job!
I live in Phoenix AZ and when US Air & America West merged it was big news here. Well the wait is over!!! In the picture I see a little America West and a little US Air.
Nice sunrise effect, and a good perspective
Great pic, absolutely awful livery
Awesome colors | |
Good photo, however the livery sucks. Phoenix, AWA pilot
What makes this shot great isn't the lighting, it isn't the clutter on the ramp, but rather it's because the photographer was in the right place at the right time to get the best picture of a new livery for an airline that may have big things in store for it as a low cost carrier.
The A320 looks sexy in the morning light... :)
Very common plane but very nice new livery
Great pic, but the livery looks kinda similar to the old one.
Looks like some TWA in it too, just wonder what the Vegas line is on how soon they will be out of service? My bet is within a year.
Clear Picture new colours are kind of ugly
Nice photo, lousy scheme i'll miss both of the old schemes, they had more character
I used to work for long defunct Presidential Airways (XV) here in the eastern U.S back in the late 80's. We flew 737-200's, BAe-146-200's and Jetstream 31/32's. If one takes a look back at our old livery (seen in several photos here on Airliners.net) one may notice some very interesting similarities..albeit with a modern flair applied by USAirways. Kind of looks like someone looked back-to look forward! All of our aircraft were named after former U.S. presidents.
Pretty cool | |
Great pic...I love the new color scheme!
The new look is OK. Not great. It is fresh looking, I was hoping for some pizazz. It would be cool if they would put state flags of the states served on the tail of the aircrafts.
Excellent use of available light (low down). Aircraft is well framed & marker cones add colour and context.
I like the livery and the light on the plane.
NICE Paint Scheme, Love the flag on the winglet too!!!
Will miss the black livery. I'm glad that my plastic model of US 734 has traditional livery and I won't change it!
Not as nice as the current scheme, but certainly a goood mix of the 2, and taking into account the requirements and needs of the new US Airways
Nice Pic but very boooooring coloursheme!!!
Why is it necessary to spend money on a total paint job at thiks time?
Nice pic, cool looking livery
The airplanes colors aren't as nice as the original us airways plane. But nicer than other airlines
Good Photo. But this colourshieme.Awful.The black one was so great, but this is like everyone has.Nothing special.Boring!!!!!!
Quick response for the new scheme. I am suprised and thrilled to see a pic of the new c/s so quick after its introduction.
Beautiful shot. The lighting is perfect the image is clear and right on target.
Very well picture... Awesome!!!
The colors are vivacious and continue to represent the image of US air. The look is comfortable and in a way futuristic
For a white-based scheme, I think this looks very nice. US Airways did a great job. Between this scheme and the coming retro schemes, US Airways has instantly become the best airline to shoot photos of among the majors.
Relatively attractive change to the new livery. Nothing too dramatic... as to be expected.
I work for usairways express, and to see this compared to our other paint i like this a whole bunch.
Very sharp! | |
The lighting is just excellent, highlighting the look of the new liverly as it will look when you roll up next to it at a terminal.
Nice colors it`s excellent
Excellent choice of colors and scheme. Very professional looking and well thought of design that honor and respect the history of the new airlines.
I like the photo; however, the scheme is plain and I still like the current "corporate" livery.
Niiiiice, I like that pic - and I like the color, IMHO its more interesting than the old livery but still the tail is very boring..
I really like the new colors. It's got the flavor of America West and of US Airways. Great Picture!
Excellen photo...and it looks like I'll be missing the old c/s...T.T
Niceee photo | |
At least now we'll be able to see a US jet after dark!
Ugly color scheme. Other than that, not distinctive.
Great new look that will work well in the high desert temps as well!
The Photo is great, but I don't really like the new colors... :(
Nice photo Jeremy but this new scheme is so boring and so ugly
Those are excellent pictures with new livery on US Airways. I am really like with good pics.
Jeremy certainly didn't waste any time! Cool!
Love the new paint scheme. Better than that boring blue aircraft. Should be better in the heat too.
Looks like the nose has a frown not the smile we were promised.
Great Photo, although for some weird reason the new livery reminds me of TWAs livery. ??
I like the lighting | |
Nice photo but what a disappointment that scheme is, looks very plain.
