N936UW (cn 27244/607) [Canon 5D Mark III + Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS L USM] Air to Air Spotting in St. Maarten isn't that easy as in other airports. Here you have to deal with Straight-In Rwy.10 Approaches, Left or Right Downwinds Approaches Rwy.10, Rwy.28 Departures, Short-Field Take-Offs, All of them 1,500ft Below You, Constantly Maintaining Visual Separation with all traffic and being in a Cessna! Thanks to all the Crew of Air Traffic Controller in Juliana Control Tower for making this possible.

We just need an air to air paralell approach and SXM would be thoroughly covered!

A visitor from Netherlands Antilles posted Thu April 25, 2013:
In SXM we'd call this one "A Boss Shot!" :-)

Having now been to Saint Maarten makes me appreciate some of these photographs even more. What a great vantage to get this awesome picture. Now know that's the Tortuga Beach Bar under the awning at the top of the frame. Love this place!

Neat! I like this angle and yet I can't explain why.

If there was at least some decent light on the a/c..... Air to Air won't make up for that....

Congrats wladimir! that's a jaw-dropper, and gets my vote for best sxm shot. you captured a unique image of a beautiful aircraft, and a soon-to-be-gone, stylish livery.

At least this time the angle is unusual. The other shots from the beach are becoming utterly boring.

You literally have taken SXM photography to new heights. Keep it on.

Very brave of you to give us a new perspective. Now we have pics from the beach, from the bars, from the aircraft, from boats out at sea, from resort windows and from the hill opposite the runway's other end and finally air-to-air.....

This is the best perspective SXM shot I've ever seen. It really gives a great impression of how large a "small" 757 is in comparison to the people below. Nice work under challenging circumstances!
