A magnificent DC-3, converted to turbine power by Basler in Oshkosh WI. The BT-67 substitutes modern PT-6 turboprops for the old piston engines and has a fuselage stretch forward of the wing to maintain the center of gravity within limits. She is caught resting on the Marana ramp, a far cry from her normal duties of dropping smoke jumpers over forest fires - that accounts for the shrouded tail wheel which prevents parachute lines being caught in the tail wheel or leg (Kodachrome 64 original)
