58-0176 (cn 464244) Up close and personal with a BUFF (the B-52's universal nickname: Big Ugly Fat Fella). It's of the 668th Bomb, Sqn., 416th Bomb Wg, SAC, is seen shortly after take off, coming over the perimeter fence at characteristically low altitude. This BUFF shows evidence of the transition taking place in bomber color schemes at the time, with its Vietnam-era camouflage interrupted by replacement parts finished in the new Strategic Scheme dark gray.
