Aircraft Taken at More: USA - Air Force More: Boeing E-3A Sentry (707-300) More: In Flight More: Iceland, May 3, 1979 Remark Photographer 76-1605 (cn 21435/924) Taken atop a barrel roll of F-4E, 66-0323 above this formation of Boeing E-3A, 76-1605, F-4Es, 66-0330 and 66-0382. This photograph was a well kept secret for some years, as the pilot specifically asked that it not be shown to USAF officials, because one was not supposed to roll around the E-3A! Overall the composition and the clarity contribute to produce a very subdued but powerful photograph. Five stars plus.
