Remark Photographer
63-13229 (cn 683-8056) German built F104G. The West German AF pilots were trained to fly these aircraft in Arizona. Three years after this photo was taken this aircraft was sold to the Republic of China AF as "4362" with 11 AG 1983. It is now withdrawn from use. I believe the object under the wing is a target drogue. Scanned from an Agfa slide.

This is great! I use to work at Luke, so the historical context of this photo is all the more meaningful. There is a German F-104 on display at Luke AFB to this day.
