I wonder if the guys looking at it are from the fire department (brigade for the Brits!)as the SRs leaked like a sieve sitting on the ground. I was around them for two years in the mid 80s. Nothing like the sound of the Buick start carts running up to get the engine turbine shafts up to speed.

This could have been considered at the time as "banned for public release" as it shows an incredible level of detail. In my opinion, the best static picture of this scary beast. Congratulations for your powerful capture. Frank from BUE - e01

My 20+ years in love with U.S./jets, and this still ranks #2, behind the F-14 and before the F-22, in the best balance of, form follows function. I wish I could see the shot of the Drone that docks up top. I've never had the pleasure of a up-close look, so this is awesome. Just think what the Aurora would look like up-close, just have to wait another 10 years I suppose.

Best plane the US has ever made.

The Blackbird is very, very large. Most pictures don't give away it's size like this one.
