44-86292 Perhaps the most significant airplane in history is the Enola Gay... This is the aircraft that, on August 6, 1945, under the command of Colonel Paul W. Tibbets, Jr., traveled to Hiroshima, Japan and dropped the world's first atomic bomb, ultimately leading to the end of the second world war. Now on display and preserved beautifully at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

The clarity is superb - the angle of the shot creates a 3-d effect.
