05-5140 (cn P-140) Just prior to this pass I made a joke about wanting to see the Globemaster do a minimum radious turn. My jaw dropped when it happened...dirty. [D200 + 300 F4 AF-S]

Also, the right fairing is different beacuse the right A/C pack is bigger than the left pack.

Amazing pic

The reason the fairing is different sized, is because that's where the APU is located.

Hey guys, what a coincidence seeing this bird here. I did a strut bleed on this very aircraft at March ARB not too long ago as part of a #2 home station check.

Clinically sharp view from directly underneath, a great catch considering the speed of the subject matter .

Simply Outsanding!!! Could any one comment why is there is such a size difference between the left and right landing gear fairings? does the larger one house the RAT as is the case with the A-380 under wing flap fairing?

A visitor from - posted Sun September 28, 2008:
Outstanding, didn't know it retracted its gear in such a "folding" way

Great picture! I didn't even realize it was a Globemaster until I read the captions. Such an unusual angle!

A minimum radius turn WITH the gear retracting! Absolutely amazing photo. This is the epitome of the phrase "right place at the right time."
