A visitor from Netherlands posted Thu July 2, 2009:@ the visitor from the US. you're right, this isn't a real taxy way. The plane was just parked there, because the real taxy ways had to be open for planes entering in the shows. This plane was 'open' for spectators on the open days of the air force of the netherlands. I've actually talked to the US crew about this plane, they told me they're situated in England and took this plane on a two days 'trip' to the Netherlands to display her there! It was indeed great to see a stratotanker, I actually lay down in the tail of the plane, were you could actually 'feel' how it felt to be the soldier doing his job there!! | |
