64-14844 / OF (cn 18784) Rivet Joint 64-14844 delivered to USAF in January 1974 and nicknamed "Problem Child" is arriving to RIAT 2011. Aircraft is assigned to 38th Reconnaissance Squadron "Hellcat" from 55th Wing (badge on the nose) based at Offutt AFB in Nebraska. 95th RS as detachement of 55th Wing equipped by RC, OC and EC-135s operated from RAF Mildenhall, where is this aircraft often seen. Rivet Joints provide indications about the location and intentions of enemyforces and warnings of threatening activity broadcasting a variety of direct voice communications. Of highest priority are combat advisory broadcasts and imminent threat warnings that can be sent direct to aircraft in danger operating both data and voice links to provide target info to US ground based air defenses.
