42-72252 (cn 7470) "Sacred Cow", at the United States Air Force Museum. America's first official Presidential aircraft, used by Franklin D. Roosevelt. '42-72252' is fake and was painted on the aircraft for the President's visit to Yalta in 1945 to "confuse the enemy". It is really 42-107451. In the museum the aircraft is now painted again as '42-72252' to commemorate the flight to Yalta. The real 42-72252 (also a C-54) was lost in the Pacific in 1945. |
