Has it been determined if this is engine trouble?

A visitor from United States posted Thu June 18, 2009:
Yeah...showing why some call it "The Devil's Cross" Many times I was distracted by these when I was supposed to be playing T-ball near the flight line at Aviano AFB in Italy.

A visitor from United States posted Thu August 17, 2006:
This gives you an excellent top down view Plus the added flares! Beautiful bath tub!

A visitor from United States posted Wed June 21, 2006:
Awesome display of firepower.

A visitor from United States posted Tue June 20, 2006:
K. it's definitely flares. I work on the jet and I'm sure I would have known if there was a fire. Good pic though

A visitor from United States posted Tue June 20, 2006:
All, this is a flare launch following ordnance release. Great capture.

A visitor from Austria posted Tue June 20, 2006:
The smoke is below the Stabilizer so I guess on a Missile launch or Flares...anyway Great Pic, 5 of 5!

A visitor from United States posted Tue June 20, 2006:
Excellent picture. Looks like a flare being fired, not engine fire as it appears at first.

A visitor from United States posted Tue June 20, 2006:
What happened to his engine?

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue June 20, 2006:
Dropping flares I presume? Great to see the aircraft from this angle!

A visitor from Netherlands posted Tue June 20, 2006:
Is that a flare or a missile or is the wing on fire?

Looks like flare to me, not engine fire, but I can be wrong.

A visitor from Canada posted Tue June 20, 2006:
This Warthog is actually just releasing a couple flares. There's nothing wrong with the engine.

A visitor from United States posted Tue June 20, 2006:
Excellent photo. The fire and smoke is comes from flares the pilot launched as a method of evading heat seeking missiles.

A visitor from Lithuania posted Tue June 20, 2006:
Nice photo of an awsome aircraft. Is this a engine problem or just flare/chaff ejecting?

A visitor from Uruguay posted Tue June 20, 2006:

A visitor from Greece posted Tue June 20, 2006:
Beautiful ! This looks to me more like flare release than engine fire (wings reflecting the flare).

A visitor from Italy posted Tue June 20, 2006:
I think it's a flares launch...

A visitor from United States posted Tue June 20, 2006:
