I am assuming the aileron position is due to their dual purpose of acting as speed brakes. Would love for someone to clarify.
They are the speedbrakes
Its so sharp, its in Las Vegas... oh the memories.. brings me back to the greatest game "Jane's USAF" and, the plane looks like a toy for some reason.
Nice one! To the visitor from NZ, please note the A-10 has splitted ailerons that work also as air brakes. For this reason both sides are deflected up (and down too, albeit not seen)
Good picture but I wonder how can the aircraft be turning with both ailerons up?
Unusual Image, the a/c banking to the right, but the l/h alerion appears to be more defelcted (+) than the r/h alerion which would normally be associated with the a/c banking to the left.
Son of a gun! That's a good shot.
