Yep - sure enough...a serious "DUH!" moment for me. Definitely T-38s, with a few more down in the lower left-hand corner. I shouldn't have even had to puzzle over it! Thanks to all, for improving my thinking!
And definitely F-14's at the top right corner, F-111's only have one fin.
Red vertical stab a/c are most likely T-38 Talons or but doubtful F5E Tigers. Wow this picture makes me want to go for a walk in this place...
The red stab aircraft look like F-5's. he sight of F-14's and B-1Bs always makes me sad. The B-1 is an absolutely beautiful and graceful aircraft.
All those aircraft, resting, represent more strike power than the Belgian Air force all together! Sad to say! And to answer on the "Duh" question ;-) I think those are F-5
"...but I can't ident the a/c (with the red vertical stab) in the column to the left of the uppermost C-5..." Northrop T-38 trainers. It's hard to believe the B-1 in the bone yard. Although I guess some of them are 30 years old. Hard to believe.
The planes with the red stabilizer are T-38's .. don't forget the B-1's .... sad to see this ..
I think the aircraft with red tails are T-38s (Talons).
Those are most certainly F-14s in the upper right hand corner, between the Bones and the C-5s. The 'cat that is farthest to the right looks like this one: http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Navy/Grumman-F-14B-Tomcat/1346788/L/ There's a hodge-podge of F-15s and -16s along the bottom rows, and a couple of columns of T-37s (Tweet!) in the upper left corner. I will probably suffer a "duh!" moment when someone answers this, but I can't ident the a/c (with the red vertical stab) in the column to the left of the uppermost C-5.
Nice shot, but a bit sad to see all those C-5s going to scrap. Are thos F-14s i see in the back ground or F-111s? They look to long for F-111s, but i thought they chewed up all the F-14 so Iran did not get the spare parts..
