53-3131 (cn 182-3003) Seen wearing 0-33131, for use as ground instructional airframe for training of future tactical & bombardment aircraft maintenance technicians (crew chiefs). Delivery date was July 31, 1956. You'll love next sentence. Built as a C-130A, cvt'd to JC-130A in August 1956, cvt'd back to C-130A in March 1958, again cvt'd to JC-130A in March 1960, and finally cvt'd to GC-130A in 1978 & delivered to Sheppard AFB, Texas where she was utilized until October 1985. Broken-up at Sheppard AFB, Texas in January 1986.
