Great picture. But I've been working on the program for many years now, and I still can't find a complimentary angle on it. It's just plain ugly. Early models of McDonnell's F-4 were ugly like this...and it got prettier as it aged. One can only hope the Lightening II is as fortunate.

I'm agree with you: This arcraft is not so pretty... Marcel Dassault said: "A nice arcraft is an arcraft who flight well" and always made nice birds... Lockheed spy team never heard it ? I hope for F35' pilots Mr Dassault was sometime in error ...

I don't see how this plane is ugly. I think it looks really elegant in my opinion. I think we can all agree though that the Lockheed version is way better looking than the Boeing concept. Now that was a look that only a mother could love.

It is chubby and has proportionally small wings, but hey, I like it!
