A visitor from United States posted Sun July 1, 2012: I don't see how this plane is ugly. I think it looks really elegant in my opinion. I think we can all agree though that the Lockheed version is way better looking than the Boeing concept. Now that was a look that only a mother could love.

A visitor from United States posted Fri July 4, 2008: Great picture. But I've been working on the program for many years now, and I still can't find a complimentary angle on it. It's just plain ugly. Early models of McDonnell's F-4 were ugly like this...and it got prettier as it aged. One can only hope the Lightening II is as fortunate.
