46-688 (cn 090-1002) This Kelly Johnson designed long-range escort fighter incurred damage but survived three nuclear explosions during tests in 1952. Now undergoing (partial) restoration, its rivets have been removed to ensure removal of all radioactive sand and dust.

This is the only surviving example of this aircraft. it deserves to be restored not kept as garbage from an atom bomb blast.
