A visitor from United States posted Sun October 24, 2010: What I like about this picture......... from almost any angle, I have always thought the F-4 is a very ugly, very "funny" looking airplane; in this photo, the angle makes it look "pretty"! After having said all that, I have always been thrilled to see, and HEAR this big, incredibly noisy, smoky bird make a low level fly-by, and hear those 2 big J-79's roar, as only they can do! Years ago, I remember talking to the Thunderbird leader at an airshow, soon after the T-Birds started flying the Phantom; His comment was; "It's the worst possible choice they could have made, for a plane to do precision demo flying, BUT........it sure is fun, if you can just manage not to kill yourself with it!"
