Aircraft Taken at More: USA - Air Force More: North American F-100D Super Sabre More: Midwest City - Tinker AFB (TIK / KTIK} More: USA - Oklahoma, August 1967 Remark Photographer 55-3520 / 6 (cn 223-202) This is a photo taken at the 1967 Tinker Air Force Base open house.Then Capt. Merrill “Tony” McPeak but now Chief of Staff of the USAF Ret. flew the number 6 bird on the right. Two months after this, McPeak, on Oct. 21, 1967 at Laughlin AFB Del Rio, Texas pulled the wings off old number six going up through the center of the bomb burst snap rolling. Search the net.
