Not keen on the callsign either, but oh well.. small note on the roll out date: there have been MANY reports by former "staff" of the usaf that these were kept secret for a VERY LONG TIME prior to being introduced to the public (similar to SR-71), so 82 probably isn't far off

Noticed name of aircraft "Grim Reaper" on mlg door.

Wet day for the B-2A. To the other vistor re: 82 tail number, not in this case as the first B-2A flight was July 17, 1989. It was rolled out eight months earlier from the Northrop assembly facility in Palmdale, California. I doubt they started building it in 1982. Maybe if it was Boeing i.e. 787 epic delays, I still couldn't see it taking 6 plus years.

Great capture in difficult conditions. Congrats Mark!!

A visitor from - posted Tue July 17, 2012:
The tail number is '82. According to the Air Force's numbering system that's the year of manufacture. It's hard to believe that these aircraft are 30 years old now. Wow!

WOW! Nice shot! And although I'm not a fan of the callsign in this case, I have always loved the look of the B2! Stunning!
