A visitor from - posted Sun September 25, 2011:The wing looks like it was cut from a single sheet of 3/4 inch plywood. I can't imagine the take-off and landing speeds of this thing. This plane was made in 1966? Is that right? Thank goodness they finally painted them in something other than white, although I wouldn't have chosen gray. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe these have been gray since the Stealth fighter came out in the '80s. I remember seeing T-38's doing touch and gos at Carswell at night...without their nav lights illuminated. Could they have had a stealth wing-man on those moonless nights? Me thinks so. | |
