Interesting, this photo shows all THREE weapons bays open.

A visitor from United States posted Fri April 10, 2009:
This plane is my baby. Ive been crewing it since 04. All the answers are spot on as far as the c-clamps go theyre there as a safety precaution to keep the MLG doors from closing on maintenance personel.

Look in what afraid you

A visitor from United States posted Fri August 11, 2006:
The so called plastic bags are the left and right engine nacelles. You are looking forward into the aft weapons bay. You have a great look at the weapon bay speed brake deployed and that rotary launcher assy just above it. This appears to be one of the flight test birds from Edwards AFB. Note the orange wire along the side walls and the test boxes on the forward bulkhead. Also note the strain gages on the corners of the bay doors.

A visitor from United States posted Tue May 16, 2006:
That's a scary sight having those tires in that close proximity to the engine cowlings.

A visitor from Philippines posted Tue March 28, 2006:
The bomb bay is very large and a very nice view of the main landing gear.

Only one word: GEEEEEEEEEEE! T.B.

A visitor from United States posted Fri January 20, 2006:
I don't see no plastic bags! What's you talking about! *** What I find interesting is the use of low-tech C-clamps to secure landing gear doors on such a hi-tech plane.

A visitor from United States posted Fri January 20, 2006:
Black bags??? What are you smoking? Thats part of the plane's body.

A visitor from United States posted Thu January 19, 2006:
Those "2 black plastic bags" would be 2 of the 4 engines...

A visitor from United States posted Thu January 19, 2006:
Amazing! i dont think thats plastic bags. i think its the curved bodywork?

A visitor from France posted Thu January 19, 2006:
Probably getting the plane airbone...

A visitor from United States posted Thu January 19, 2006:
WOW, the stomach is look like this !!! But what are the functions of the 2 black plastic bags beside it ???

A visitor from United States posted Thu January 19, 2006:
Awesome technology. The B-1 is in a class of its own.
