A6979 / 3 (cn 26-33) This is the Curtiss racer which Lt. Cyrus Bettis flew to win the 1925 Pulitzer Trophy Race. After conversion to a float plane, Lt. Jimmy Doolittle piloted the same aircraft to victory in the 1925 Schneider Trophy Race. On display in the National Air and Space Museum.
