39064 (cn 43376) Starting out as 42-24081 and becoming an R4D-5 in 1943, c/n 9962 was modified to R4D-8 Super Dakota standard for the USN in 1952 (so gaining the new c/n) but was soon handed over to the USMC, although a period was spent back in the USN (Norfolk) around 1970. Lastly based at Beaufort MCAS, SC, she entered storage at DM four months before this shot and in 2.81 was registered N8502X, but ended up with Desert Airparts in 9.82
