Remark Photographer
153492 / F-240 (cn 13558) Grey day, gray plane... This TA-4 poses on the NAS Atlanta transit line beneath a dreary sky, its dull overall Engine Gray finish suggesting previous service with VFC-12 Omars at Oceana, VA. However, it now bears the markings of VT-86 Sabrehawks from NAS Pensacola, FL, the Naval Flight Officer training unit. Ed Heinemann's design of the Skyhawk went beyond the airframe and took in all from weapons to support equipm't. Here we see the specially-designed ladder that simply attached to the plane's side.
