152635 / NL-500 A Grumman A-6A Intruder aboard the Vietnam era Aircraft Carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43, San Francisco's Own), during her 1970 visit to Garden Island Dockyard in Sydney. The aircraft (operated by VA-35 Black Panthers), is chained to the deck and the folded wings make the aircraft more compact on deck (and in the hangar below). Drop tanks are fitted to the wing pylons and the prominent refuelling probe is above the radar nose-cone. This aircraft was later upgraded to A-6E standard.
