My favourite fighter! In 1990 I went to Oshkosh (EAA flyin)
and that was the only time I was near a TOMCAT (also from
VF-31). This bird is really amazing!! It's with great
sorrow that I see him disappear the aircraft carriers's deck.

A day in history. With amost all of the Hueys already gone and the Tomcats now following, The Sound of Freedom will never be the same.
Thanks to all the guys who always showed their committment when on missions and a special R.I.P. to the ones who did not make it back!

Gonna miss this bird!

Great Aircraft, I have loved the Tomcat since seeing Tom Cruise flying(acting in) them in the film 'Top Gun'. In my opion the best 'F-' in the air force.

R.I.P Goose!

The best most beautiful Navy fighter ever. The Tomcat is the aircraft that made me want to be a pilot way before the movie "Top Gun" came out!

The quarter view is usually the most appealing for an aircraft on the ground. the graceful lines of the f14 is easily seen and the cloud cover eliminates grare from the sun. awesome bird, great photo.

This picture just perfectly illustrates the awesome beauty of this unique plane. With the Tomcats leaving the scene to be replaced by an inferior plane, military aviation will never be the same. Tomcats 4ever!!

My favorite jet fighter of all times. The US Navy & Iranian AF uses/used this aircraft. Ain't she an engineering beauty? Entered service in the early 70's, she's still ahead of her time.

A great legend ends! the most powerful and the same time most beautiful plane has meat his final rest. To bad so much potential and power a real threat to every one the ruler of the sky’s gone for ever.

NAVY CARRIERS will never be the same without the CAT and its crew! :(

Farewell MIGHTY CAT!

Massive engine intakes, the cannon barrel, variable geometry wings, huge engines...what a beast. The last of the "great cats." Grumman contributed greatly to this nation's defense through the years.
