Remark Photographer
157312 / LR-3 Bogus markings of the special model Orions seen at Keflavik. In 1985 the squadron markings and most identifying markings were removed from the P-3s. But here is VPU-1 once more trying to make this aircraft look like a P-3C. The nose camera was replaced by a Infrared Detection System, the two small windows in the rear fuselage are painted on and the sonobuoy chutes are easily visible. But what makes it a B model are the missing fin top antenna and the wire antennas from the fin top to the fuselage (compare the VP-16 tail in the background).
