A visitor from - posted Mon October 17, 2011: Stunning photo Frank! What a great opportunity for you. Love the lighting and the raw power of it. The rudders do tow in for TO and the pilot is pretty much hands off until the Hornet is airborne.

A visitor from Finland posted Mon July 14, 2008: Very nice shot indeed.. if I'm right, the pilot is just holding on with his right hand during the catapult shot and grab the stick after take-off, so that's why it looks like he's giving the 'thumbs up' to the crew.
