132023 / 755 (cn 181-97) The NA FJ Fury was the first oprtational jet aircraft in service with the US Navy. Essentially based on the F-86 Sabre, unfortunately full-scale production was too late for deployment in the Korean War. This example now preserved at the National Museum of Naval Aviation. Painted in the markings of one of the FJ-2 prototypes as it appeared while undergoing evaluations at the Naval Air Test Center in 1952. |
