Ever wonder what happened to the famous B-17 "Memphis Belle"? She's being cosmetically restored here at the Jim Webb Restoration Center at Millington Municipal Airport by the Memphis Belle Memorial Association, and hopes are to have her on display in an enclosed environment within the next several years. For those who don't know, the Belle was the first B-17 to complete 25 combat missions and keep her entire crew alive. The memorial in the nose is for pilot Col. Robert Morgan, who passed away recently.
