Photo taken at North Field or Northwest Field, Guam at the end of WWII by my father, Harold E. Gronenthal. The object under the fuselage and wings is an AN/APQ-7 "Eagle" targeting radar antenna, operating in X-band (3cm/10GHz), used on B-29Bs (no defensive armament). Airplane unit is 20th Air Force, 315th Bomb Wing, 16th Bomb Group.

One of the few pictures I have seen of a B-29B with the radar antenna. Awesome!
