Fun fact regarding "Diamond Lil": this is one of two B-52's which claimed an aerial kill during Vietnam. The tail-gunner targeted and shot down a MiG-21 on Christmas Eve, 1972. Also, the wings have been shortened by several feet on either end due to the high winds along the Front Range, where the Academy is located. Go AF!
