Arriving at the storage facility in July 1969, former 93rd Bomb Wing B-52F 57-0067 shows little evidence of the preservation process that prepared aircraft for lengthy sojourns in the desert. Despite this, it spent 25 years at Davis-Monthan before finally being scrapped in mid-1994.

I thought the F models were converted into D models. The D models I worked on were from 1955 and 1956. This aircraft is a whole year younger than the planes they kept. Why did they keep the older planes and scrap these?
