This nice sharp photo does show the wrinkles, but if you look at photos of the prototype B-52 back when it first flew in the 1950s, you will see the same wrinkles. They are designed in. When the aircraft is in flight, the wrinkles are straightened out. You can actually hear the skin "oil canning" during taxi before take-off. That's "normal." It doesn't seem right, but it is normal ops. No aircraft would be allowed to fly with obvious flaws in it. Aircraft are always necessarily PERFECTLY airworthy. You are betting your life on it after all, because there is no highway in the sky to pull over to the side of.
