I think maybe a few more antennae might be in order. And what's with the special window pattern on the second deck when none of them are really windows anyway?

Also known as "The Doomsday Plane" the plane the president would be in during a nuclear attack or other grave national emergency. Word is that Bush almost boarded one of these during 9/11.

Hello Giovanni, nice to see this one uploaded. I think we shared the same whole (in the fence ofcourse) that day to shoot her at Abelag. Excellent contrast!

There is something that looks like a very small rocket nozzle on the tip of the tail. What's that?

Their are some quite distinctive feature on this 747 than the one most of us see in the air
,for example the small bubble on the nose and the large thing on top, I have to say great shot

Someone asked what the nozzle is used for on the tail... it's essentially a fuel connection to allow for refueling in the air, should the situation present itself (ie. should landing not be an option).

It is not an air refuelling device but the stablizer end of a VLF wire antenna !

The "nozzle" is indeed the stabilizer of a 5 mile long VLF wire antenna reel, and the "hump" houses a SHF satellite antenna.
