QUID 98 comes to a halt after declaring an in flight emergency. The emergency was declared when the in flight refuelling boom could not be retracted to the stowed position and the crew had to land back with the boom fully extended. As can be seen, due to the boom tip being dragged the length of the runway, a small fire has started which was safely contained by the base fire tenders.
