A close shot of the always impressive RC-135V which was often referred to as the 'Hog' by her crews. The dull finish to the nose is noteworthy; a few years later Greenville was able to develop a process to paint the radome with a gloss finish, which is what we see today.

Great shot! I was stationed at Offutt AFB NE and worked on these beauties! The EC/RC-135 platforms are awesome, and were beneficial information collectors for the USAF. This shot brings back _many_ memories.

I am going to continue to look over your photos, Micahel. I came to these photos from your "Ghost Base" website - my Dad was stationed at RAF Sculthorpe during WWII (he's from Manchester UK). In 1984 I was TDY in USAFE (435th FMS/Avionics Maint Sq) at RAF SCULTHORPE! Some 40 years later!

I'll be sure to leave you a note on your Ghost Bases website too. Take care!
