I think it's a flares launch...

Beautiful ! This looks to me more like flare release than engine fire (wings reflecting the flare).

Nice photo of an awsome aircraft. Is this a engine problem or just flare/chaff ejecting?

Excellent photo. The fire and smoke is comes from flares the pilot launched as a method of evading heat seeking missiles.

This Warthog is actually just releasing a couple flares. There's nothing wrong with the engine.

Looks like flare to me, not engine fire, but I can be wrong.

The smoke is below the Stabilizer so I guess on a Missile launch or Flares...anyway Great Pic, 5 of 5!

All, this is a flare launch following ordnance release. Great capture.

K. it's definitely flares. I work on the jet and I'm sure I would have known if there was a fire. Good pic though

Yeah...showing why some call it "The Devil's Cross" Many times I was distracted by these when I was supposed to be playing T-ball near the flight line at Aviano AFB in Italy.

Has it been determined if this is engine trouble?
