Last operated by the Tennessee ANG, this plane was in the "boneyard" at Davis-Monthan until it was refurbished and painted in the colors of 60528, an aircraft that was shot down over Armenia in 1958. It was then flown to Tipton Army Airfield at Fort Meade. Its wings and vertical stab were removed and it was towed to its present location and reassembled. It’s now a memorial to the US airborne reconnaissance crewmembers who gave their lives in Cold War operations, including the 17 aboard 60528. [Actually 57-0453]
