This C-130 came into service for the USAF in August 1957. In November 1972 it was given to the South Vietnamese Air Force as part of the Military Assistance Program. In 1975 it was the last C-130 out of Vietnam during the Fall of Saigon. (The aircraft lifted off with an astonishing 452 on board destined for Thailand.) My husband was stationed at LRAFB and returned to SEA during the Easter invasion of 72. What a great place to have this c-130!!!
